Fatty acyl glycosides of mono- and disaccharides are compounds composed of a mono- or disaccharide moiety linked to one hydroxyl group of a fatty alcohol or of a phosphorylated alcohol (phosphoprenols), a hydroxy fatty acid or to one carboxyl group of a fatty acid (ester linkage) or to an amino alcohol. 3,6,9-trimethyl-3-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3ah,4h,5h,9ah,9bh-azuleno[4,5-b]furan-2,7-dione is found in Taraxacum alpinum, Taraxacum obovatum and Taraxacum platycarpum. 3,6,9-Trimethyl-3-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-2H,3H,3aH,4H,5H,7H,9aH,9bH-azuleno[4,5-b]furan-2,7-dione is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
