Common Name(2s)-3-{[(2s)-2,3-bis({[(3r,7r,11r)-3,7,11,15-tetramethylhexadecyl]oxy})propoxy(hydroxy)phosphoryl]oxy}-2-hydroxypropoxysulfonic acid
DescriptionPgs belongs to the class of organic compounds known as acyclic diterpenoids. These are diterpenoids (compounds made of four consecutive isoprene units) that do not contain a cycle. Thus, Pgs is considered to be an other glycerophospholipid. (2s)-3-{[(2s)-2,3-bis({[(3r,7r,11r)-3,7,11,15-tetramethylhexadecyl]oxy})propoxy(hydroxy)phosphoryl]oxy}-2-hydroxypropoxysulfonic acid is found in Bacterium. (2s)-3-{[(2s)-2,3-bis({[(3r,7r,11r)-3,7,11,15-tetramethylhexadecyl]oxy})propoxy(hydroxy)phosphoryl]oxy}-2-hydroxypropoxysulfonic acid was first documented in 2022 (PMID: 36085328). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Pgs (PMID: 36078261) (PMID: 36077420) (PMID: 36071625).
