Description8-(Acetyloxy)-7-methyl-6-oxo-3-propyl-6,7,8,8a-tetrahydro-1H-isochromen-7-yl 3,5-dichloro-2,4-dimethoxy-6-methylbenzoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as p-methoxybenzoic acids and derivatives. These are benzoic acids in which the hydrogen atom at position 4 of the benzene ring is replaced by a methoxy group. 8-(acetyloxy)-7-methyl-6-oxo-3-propyl-8,8a-dihydro-1h-isochromen-7-yl 3,5-dichloro-2,4-dimethoxy-6-methylbenzoate is found in Aspergillus falconensis. 8-(Acetyloxy)-7-methyl-6-oxo-3-propyl-6,7,8,8a-tetrahydro-1H-isochromen-7-yl 3,5-dichloro-2,4-dimethoxy-6-methylbenzoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
