DescriptionHydrachoside A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene glycosides. These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. methyl (4s,5r,6s)-5-ethenyl-4-{[(2s,6r)-6-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxooxan-2-yl]methyl}-6-{[(2r,3s,4r,5r,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5,6-dihydro-4h-pyran-3-carboxylate is found in Hydrangea chinensis. methyl (4s,5r,6s)-5-ethenyl-4-{[(2s,6r)-6-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxooxan-2-yl]methyl}-6-{[(2r,3s,4r,5r,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5,6-dihydro-4h-pyran-3-carboxylate was first documented in 2003 (PMID: 14510608). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Hydrachoside A.
