| Description | 5,6,8-Trihydroxy-2,3-dimethyl-9-{4,5,6-trihydroxy-2-methyl-8-oxo-8H-cyclohexa[g]chromen-9-yl}-2H,3H,4H-naphtho[2,3-b]pyran-4-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthopyranones. Naphthopyranones are compounds containing a naphthopyran skeleton where a ring carbon bears a carboxylic acid group. Naphthtopyran is made up of the pyran ring fused to a naphthalene ring system. 5,6,8-trihydroxy-2,3-dimethyl-9-{4,5,6-trihydroxy-2-methyl-8-oxocyclohexa[g]chromen-9-yl}-2h,3h-naphtho[2,3-b]pyran-4-one is found in Ustilaginoidea virens. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5,6,8-trihydroxy-2,3-dimethyl-9-{4,5,6-trihydroxy-2-methyl-8-oxo-8H-cyclohexa[g]chromen-9-yl}-2H,3H,4H-naphtho[2,3-b]pyran-4-one. |
