Description(2S,4E)-4-[(2E)-2-{[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)ethyl]imino}ethylidene]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as l-alpha-amino acids. These are alpha amino acids which have the L-configuration of the alpha-carbon atom. (2s,4e)-4-[(2e)-2-{[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)ethyl]imino}ethylidene]-2,3-dihydro-1h-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid is found in Beta vulgaris. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2S,4E)-4-[(2E)-2-{[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)ethyl]imino}ethylidene]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid.
