Description(8S,12E)-8,20-Epoxy-3beta,7beta,15-trihydroxylabd-12-en-16-oic acid methyl ester belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpenoids. These are terpene compounds formed by four isoprene units. methyl (2e)-4-[(1r,2s,3s,4ar,6s,8as)-3,6-dihydroxy-5,5,8a-trimethyl-hexahydro-1h-spiro[naphthalene-2,2'-oxiran]-1-yl]-2-(2-hydroxyethyl)but-2-enoate is found in Aframomum sceptrum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (8S,12E)-8,20-Epoxy-3beta,7beta,15-trihydroxylabd-12-en-16-oic acid methyl ester.
