| Description | 2-Acetoxyfuranodiene belongs to the class of organic compounds known as germacrane sesquiterpenoids. These are sesquiterpenoids having the germacrane skeleton, with a structure characterized by a cyclodecane ring substituted with an isopropyl and two methyl groups. 3,6,10-trimethyl-4h,7h,8h,11h-cyclodeca[b]furan-2-yl acetate is found in Commiphora myrrha. 3,6,10-trimethyl-4h,7h,8h,11h-cyclodeca[b]furan-2-yl acetate was first documented in 2020 (PMID: 32183153). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2-acetoxyfuranodiene (PMID: 34336357). |
