DescriptionPiriferinol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cinnamic acids and derivatives. These are organic aromatic compounds containing a benzene and a carboxylic acid group (or a derivative thereof) forming 3-phenylprop-2-enoic acid. 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-n-{1-[(2e)-3-phenylprop-2-enoyl]pyrrolidin-2-yl}propanimidic acid is found in Aglaia elaeagnoidea. 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-n-{1-[(2e)-3-phenylprop-2-enoyl]pyrrolidin-2-yl}propanimidic acid was first documented in 1998 (PMID: 9868148). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Piriferinol.
