| Description | 6-O-alpha-L-Rhamnopyranosylcatalpol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as o-glycosyl compounds. These are glycoside in which a sugar group is bonded through one carbon to another group via a O-glycosidic bond. (2s,3r,4r,5r,6r)-2-methyl-6-{[(2r,3s,4s,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-{[(1s,2s,4s,5s,6r,10s)-5-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-3,9-dioxatricyclo[4.4.0.0²,⁴]dec-7-en-10-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]methoxy}oxane-3,4,5-triol is found in Gmelina arborea. (2s,3r,4r,5r,6r)-2-methyl-6-{[(2r,3s,4s,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-{[(1s,2s,4s,5s,6r,10s)-5-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-3,9-dioxatricyclo[4.4.0.0²,⁴]dec-7-en-10-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]methoxy}oxane-3,4,5-triol was first documented in 2006 (PMID: 16797620). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 6-O-alpha-L-Rhamnopyranosylcatalpol. |
