Description2,5-Dihydroxy-3,6-bis({[2-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-1H-indol-3-yl]methyl})cyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 3-alkylindoles. 3-Alkylindoles are compounds containing an indole moiety that carries an alkyl chain at the 3-position. 2,5-dihydroxy-3,6-bis({[2-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-1h-indol-3-yl]methyl})cyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione is found in Aspergillus candidus. 2,5-Dihydroxy-3,6-bis({[2-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-1H-indol-3-yl]methyl})cyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
