Description2-{5-[(3,3-Dimethyloxiran-2-yl)methyl]-1H-indol-3-yl}-3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lineolic acids and derivatives. These are derivatives of lineolic acid. Lineolic acid is a polyunsaturated omega-6 18 carbon long fatty acid, with two CC double bonds at the 9- and 12-positions. 2-{5-[(3,3-dimethyloxiran-2-yl)methyl]-1h-indol-3-yl}-3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate is found in Hexalobus crispiflorus. 2-{5-[(3,3-Dimethyloxiran-2-yl)methyl]-1H-indol-3-yl}-3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
