DescriptionHispidulin 7-glucoside, also known as hispiduloside, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. Thus, hispidulin 7-glucoside is considered to be a flavonoid. homoplantaginin is found in Adenothamnus validus, Arnica chamissonis, Arnica longifolia, Eriocaulon buergerianum, Eriocaulon ligulatum, Fernandoa adenophylla, Iris domestica, Millingtonia hortensis, Picnomon acarna, Plantago major, Salvia officinalis, Salvia plebeia, Scoparia dulcis, Scrophularia ningpoensis and Scutellaria albida. homoplantaginin was first documented in 2005 (PMID: 16061337). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Hispidulin 7-glucoside.
