Description5-(3-Hydroxy-3-methylpent-4-en-1-yl)-4,4-dimethyl-6-methylidenecyclohex-2-en-1-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sesquiterpenoids. These are terpenes with three consecutive isoprene units. 5-(3-hydroxy-3-methylpent-4-en-1-yl)-4,4-dimethyl-6-methylidenecyclohex-2-en-1-one is found in Osmundea hybrida. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5-(3-hydroxy-3-methylpent-4-en-1-yl)-4,4-dimethyl-6-methylidenecyclohex-2-en-1-one.
