Description | 5,6,7,8-Tetramethoxy-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-4-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 8-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C8 atom of the flavonoid backbone. Thus, 5,6,7,8-tetramethoxy-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-4-one is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 5,6,7,8-Tetramethoxy-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-4-one is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
