These are organic compounds containing an oxolane (tetrahydrofuran) ring, which is a saturated aliphatic five-member ring containing one oxygen and five carbon atoms. 4-methyl-2-(3-methylbuta-1,3-dien-1-yl)oxolane is found in Cydonia oblonga. 4-Methyl-2-(3-methylbuta-1,3-dien-1-yl)oxolane is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
