| Description | Cholestatriene belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cholestane steroids. These are steroids with a structure containing the 27-carbon cholestane skeleton. (1r,3as,3br,9as,9bs,11as)-9a,11a-dimethyl-1-(6-methylhepta-2,4,6-trien-2-yl)-tetradecahydro-1h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthrene is found in Aulacomya atra. (1r,3as,3br,9as,9bs,11as)-9a,11a-dimethyl-1-(6-methylhepta-2,4,6-trien-2-yl)-tetradecahydro-1h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthrene was first documented in 2003 (PMID: 12951275). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Cholestatriene (PMID: 16377021) (PMID: 15863958). |
