Description4-Hydroxy-2-(5-hydroxy-3,7,8-trimethoxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-2-yl)phenyl acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 8-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C8 atom of the flavonoid backbone. 4-hydroxy-2-(5-hydroxy-3,7,8-trimethoxy-4-oxochromen-2-yl)phenyl acetate is found in Notholaena aliena. 4-Hydroxy-2-(5-hydroxy-3,7,8-trimethoxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-2-yl)phenyl acetate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
