These are diterpenoids (compounds made of four consecutive isoprene units) that do not contain a cycle. 4-[(16-hydroxy-2,6,10,14-tetramethylhexadeca-2,6,10,14-tetraen-1-yl)oxy]-4-oxobut-2-enoic acid is found in Boletinus cavipes. 4-[(16-Hydroxy-2,6,10,14-tetramethylhexadeca-2,6,10,14-tetraen-1-yl)oxy]-4-oxobut-2-enoic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
