Description9-[(6,7-Dihydroxy-3,7-dimethyloct-2-en-1-yl)oxy]-4-methoxy-7H-furo[3,2-g]chromen-7-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 5-methoxypsoralens. These are psoralens containing a methoxy group attached at the C5 position of the psoralen group. 9-[(6,7-dihydroxy-3,7-dimethyloct-2-en-1-yl)oxy]-4-methoxyfuro[3,2-g]chromen-7-one is found in Casimiroa edulis. 9-[(6,7-Dihydroxy-3,7-dimethyloct-2-en-1-yl)oxy]-4-methoxy-7H-furo[3,2-g]chromen-7-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
