Description | [(1S,4aS,5S,7aR)-5-hydroxy-1-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-1H,4aH,5H,7aH-cyclopenta[c]pyran-7-yl]methyl (2E,6E)-8-hydroxy-2,6-dimethylocta-2,6-dienoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as iridoid o-glycosides. These are iridoid monoterpenes containing a glycosyl (usually a pyranosyl) moiety linked to the iridoid skeleton. [(1s,4as,5s,7ar)-5-hydroxy-1-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-1h,4ah,5h,7ah-cyclopenta[c]pyran-7-yl]methyl (2e,6e)-8-hydroxy-2,6-dimethylocta-2,6-dienoate is found in Cordylanthus kingii. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on [(1S,4aS,5S,7aR)-5-hydroxy-1-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-1H,4aH,5H,7aH-cyclopenta[c]pyran-7-yl]methyl (2E,6E)-8-hydroxy-2,6-dimethylocta-2,6-dienoate. |
