Description3-Methoxy-4-(3-phenylprop-2-en-1-yl)phenol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cinnamylphenols. These are organic compounds containing the 1,3-diphenylpropene moiety with one benzene ring bearing one or more hydroxyl groups. 3-methoxy-4-(3-phenylprop-2-en-1-yl)phenol is found in Dalbergia odorifera, Dalbergia retusa and Pisum sativum. 3-Methoxy-4-(3-phenylprop-2-en-1-yl)phenol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
