These are diterpenoids with a structure based a cembrane skeleton, which is characterized by the presence of an isopropyl group at C-1 and by three symmetrically disposed methyl groups a the t C-4, -8 and -12 positions. [10,14-dimethyl-7-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-15-oxabicyclo[12.1.0]pentadeca-4,10-dien-4-yl]methanol is found in Eunicea knighti. [10,14-Dimethyl-7-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-15-oxabicyclo[12.1.0]Pentadeca-4,10-dien-4-yl]methanol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
