DescriptionP-Hydroxybenzyl glucosinolate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as alkylglucosinolates. These are organic compounds containing a glucosinolate moiety that carries an alkyl chain. [(e)-[2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]sulfanyl}ethylidene]amino]oxysulfonic acid is found in Brassica elongata, Brassica juncea, Brassica napus, Lepidium meyenii, Malcolmia africana and Sinapis arvensis. [(e)-[2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]sulfanyl}ethylidene]amino]oxysulfonic acid was first documented in 2016 (PMID: 26919585). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on p-Hydroxybenzyl glucosinolate.
