DescriptionQuercetin 3-vicianoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-3-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Thus, quercetin 3-vicianoside is considered to be a flavonoid. 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-3-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-({[(2s,3r,4s,5s)-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]oxy}methyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}chromen-4-one is found in Calluna vulgaris, Corydalis bungeana and Vicia sativa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Quercetin 3-vicianoside.
