Description(E)-5-[(1R,4abeta)-Decahydro-5,5,8aalpha-trimethyl-2-methylenenaphthalene-1-yl]-3-methyl-2-pentenoic acid (2S)-2-hydroxy-3-acetoxypropyl ester belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpenoids. These are terpene compounds formed by four isoprene units. (2s)-3-(acetyloxy)-2-hydroxypropyl (2e)-5-[(1r,4ar,8ar)-5,5,8a-trimethyl-2-methylidene-hexahydro-1h-naphthalen-1-yl]-3-methylpent-2-enoate is found in Doris verrucosa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (E)-5-[(1R,4abeta)-Decahydro-5,5,8aalpha-trimethyl-2-methylenenaphthalene-1-yl]-3-methyl-2-pentenoic acid (2S)-2-hydroxy-3-acetoxypropyl ester.
