DescriptionMansumbinone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as oxosteroids. These are steroid derivatives carrying a C=O group attached to steroid skeleton. (5ar,9ar,9br,11ar)-3a,3b,6,6,9a-pentamethyl-3h,4h,5h,5ah,8h,9h,9bh,10h,11h,11ah-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-7-one is found in Commiphora kua and Commiphora myrrha. (5ar,9ar,9br,11ar)-3a,3b,6,6,9a-pentamethyl-3h,4h,5h,5ah,8h,9h,9bh,10h,11h,11ah-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-7-one was first documented in 2008 (PMID: 18570217). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Mansumbinone (PMID: 32365391).
