| Description | (5Beta,8alpha,9beta,10alpha,12alpha,13S)-13-Hydroxy-3a-homo-3a-oxaatis-16-ene-3,14-dione belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lactones. These are cyclic esters of hydroxy carboxylic acids, containing a 1-oxacycloalkan-2-one structure, or analogues having unsaturation or heteroatoms replacing one or more carbon atoms of the ring. (1s,4s,10s,11s,13s,14s)-14-hydroxy-5,5,10-trimethyl-17-methylidene-6-oxatetracyclo[11.2.2.0¹,¹¹.0⁴,¹⁰]heptadecane-7,15-dione is found in Euphorbia plumerioides. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (5beta,8alpha,9beta,10alpha,12alpha,13S)-13-Hydroxy-3a-homo-3a-oxaatis-16-ene-3,14-dione. |
