Description(4S,5R)-4-hydroxy-4-[(1E,3R)-3-hydroxybut-1-en-1-yl]-3,5-dimethyl-5-({[(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}methyl)cyclohex-2-en-1-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene glycosides. These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. (4s,5r)-4-hydroxy-4-[(1e,3r)-3-hydroxybut-1-en-1-yl]-3,5-dimethyl-5-({[(2r,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}methyl)cyclohex-2-en-1-one is found in Juniperus phoenicea. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (4S,5R)-4-hydroxy-4-[(1E,3R)-3-hydroxybut-1-en-1-yl]-3,5-dimethyl-5-({[(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}methyl)cyclohex-2-en-1-one.
