Description | (1S,2S,3R,8S,10S,11S,15R,16R)-3-(acetyloxy)-15-[(2S,3R,5S)-2-(acetyloxy)-5-[(2R)-3,3-dimethyloxiran-2-yl]oxolan-3-yl]-2,7,7,11,16-pentamethyl-5-oxo-6-oxatetracyclo[9.7.0.0²,⁸.0¹²,¹⁶]Octadec-12-en-10-yl acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as limonoids. These are highly oxygenated, modified terpenoids with a prototypical structure either containing or derived from a precursor with a 4,4,8-trimethyl-17-furanylsteroid skeleton. All naturally occurring citrus limonoids contain a furan ring attached to the D-ring, at C-17, as well as oxygen containing functional groups at C-3, C-4, C-7, C-16 and C-17. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,2S,3R,8S,10S,11S,15R,16R)-3-(acetyloxy)-15-[(2S,3R,5S)-2-(acetyloxy)-5-[(2R)-3,3-dimethyloxiran-2-yl]oxolan-3-yl]-2,7,7,11,16-pentamethyl-5-oxo-6-oxatetracyclo[9.7.0.0²,⁸.0¹²,¹⁶]Octadec-12-en-10-yl acetate. |
