| Description | 2,5-Dihydroxy-N-[2-hydroxy-4-(methoxycarbonyl)phenyl]benzene-1-carboximidic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as benzanilides. These are aromatic compounds containing an anilide group in which the carboxamide group is substituted with a benzene ring. They have the general structure RNC(=O)R', where R,R'= benzene. 2,5-dihydroxy-n-[2-hydroxy-4-(methoxycarbonyl)phenyl]benzenecarboximidic acid is found in Aconitum barbatum. 2,5-Dihydroxy-N-[2-hydroxy-4-(methoxycarbonyl)phenyl]benzene-1-carboximidic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
