DescriptionFumifungin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as long-chain fatty acids. These are fatty acids with an aliphatic tail that contains between 13 and 21 carbon atoms. (6e)-4-(acetyloxy)-2-amino-3,5,14-trihydroxyicos-6-enoic acid is found in Aspergillus fumigatus. (6e)-4-(acetyloxy)-2-amino-3,5,14-trihydroxyicos-6-enoic acid was first documented in 2015 (PMID: 25737146). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Fumifungin.
