Description | (3E,5E)-6-[(1aR,2aS,5S,5aR,7aS)-2a,7a-dimethyl-decahydroazuleno[5,6-b]oxiren-5-yl]-2-methylhepta-3,5-dien-2-ol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sphenolobane diterpenoids. These are diterpenoids with a structure characterized by a sphenolobane skeleton. They possess a trans-fused hydroazulenoid skeleton as a common structural motif, but differ in configuration at C(9), where a prenyl group is attached. Sphenolobane is also considered an 'extended' daucane skeleton, with a carbon side chain appended onto the cyclopentane ring. (3e,5e)-6-[(1ar,2as,5s,5ar,7as)-2a,7a-dimethyl-octahydroazuleno[5,6-b]oxiren-5-yl]-2-methylhepta-3,5-dien-2-ol is found in Anastrophyllum donnianum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3E,5E)-6-[(1aR,2aS,5S,5aR,7aS)-2a,7a-dimethyl-decahydroazuleno[5,6-b]oxiren-5-yl]-2-methylhepta-3,5-dien-2-ol. |
