These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. 2-(3,5-dihydroxyphenyl)-5-hydroxy-7-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-2,3-dihydro-1-benzopyran-4-one is found in Ilex hainanensis and Neocheiropteris fortunei. 2-(3,5-Dihydroxyphenyl)-5-hydroxy-7-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-4-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
