Description(4E)-4-(1-methoxy-4-methyl-2-oxopentylidene)-2-methylcyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as p-quinomethanes. These are organic compounds containing a benzene ring conjugated to a methylidene group and a ketone at carbon atoms 1 and 4, respectively. (4e)-4-(1-methoxy-4-methyl-2-oxopentylidene)-2-methylcyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-one is found in Parthenium argentatum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (4E)-4-(1-methoxy-4-methyl-2-oxopentylidene)-2-methylcyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-one.
