| Description | 2-Hydroxy-3-methyl-1-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-9,10-dihydroanthracene-9,10-dione belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxyanthraquinones. Hydroxyanthraquinones are compounds containing a hydroxyanthraquinone moiety, which consists of an anthracene bearing a quinone, and hydroxyl group. 2-hydroxy-3-methyl-1-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}anthracene-9,10-dione is found in Cassia fistula and Picramnia latifolia. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2-hydroxy-3-methyl-1-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-9,10-dihydroanthracene-9,10-dione. |
