| Description | (2E,6E)-9-[(S)-2,2,6-Trimethyl-5-cyclohexene-1-yl]-3-(acetoxymethyl)-7-methyl-2,6-nonadiene-1-ol acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as retinoids. These are oxygenated derivatives of 3,7-dimethyl-1-(2,6,6-trimethylcyclohex-1-enyl)nona-1,3,5,7-tetraene and derivatives thereof. (2e,5e)-2-[2-(acetyloxy)ethylidene]-6-methyl-8-[(1s)-2,6,6-trimethylcyclohex-2-en-1-yl]oct-5-en-1-yl acetate is found in Caulerpa brownii. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2E,6E)-9-[(S)-2,2,6-Trimethyl-5-cyclohexene-1-yl]-3-(acetoxymethyl)-7-methyl-2,6-nonadiene-1-ol acetate. |
