These are prenol lipids containing a lactone ring. 2-hydroxy-2,6,10-trimethyl-12-[(2-oxochromen-7-yl)oxy]dodeca-6,10-dien-3-yl acetate is found in Ferula assa-foetida. 2-Hydroxy-2,6,10-trimethyl-12-[(2-oxo-2H-chromen-7-yl)oxy]dodeca-6,10-dien-3-yl acetate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
