DescriptionIsocyperol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as eudesmane, isoeudesmane or cycloeudesmane sesquiterpenoids. These are sesquiterpenoids with a structure based on the eudesmane skeleton. (2r,4as,7r)-4a-methyl-1-methylidene-7-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-octahydronaphthalen-2-ol is found in Alpinia oxyphylla, Cyperus alopecuroides and Cyperus rotundus. (2r,4as,7r)-4a-methyl-1-methylidene-7-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-octahydronaphthalen-2-ol was first documented in 2016 (PMID: 27240136). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Isocyperol (PMID: 34500664) (PMID: 30551381).
