Description2-[(2S,3S,4S)-3-[1-(acetyloxy)ethyl]-5-(methoxycarbonyl)-2-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran-4-yl]acetic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene glycosides. These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. [(2s,3s,4s)-3-[1-(acetyloxy)ethyl]-5-(methoxycarbonyl)-2-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2h-pyran-4-yl]acetic acid is found in Calycophyllum spruceanum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2-[(2S,3S,4S)-3-[1-(acetyloxy)ethyl]-5-(methoxycarbonyl)-2-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran-4-yl]acetic acid.
