DescriptionN-[2-methoxy-1-(3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-{[2-(2-hydroxybenzoyloxy)ethyl]sulfanyl}oxan-2-yl)propyl]pyrrolidine-2-carboximidic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as proline and derivatives. Proline and derivatives are compounds containing proline or a derivative thereof resulting from reaction of proline at the amino group or the carboxy group, or from the replacement of any hydrogen of glycine by a heteroatom. n-[2-methoxy-1-(3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-{[2-(2-hydroxybenzoyloxy)ethyl]sulfanyl}oxan-2-yl)propyl]pyrrolidine-2-carboximidic acid is found in Streptomyces caelestis. N-[2-methoxy-1-(3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-{[2-(2-hydroxybenzoyloxy)ethyl]sulfanyl}oxan-2-yl)propyl]pyrrolidine-2-carboximidic acid is a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa).
