DescriptionMethyl 12-O-methylcarnosoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpenoids. These are terpene compounds formed by four isoprene units. methyl (4ar,10as)-5-hydroxy-7-isopropyl-6-methoxy-1,1-dimethyl-2,3,4,9,10,10a-hexahydrophenanthrene-4a-carboxylate is found in Ocimum labiatum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on methyl 12-O-methylcarnosoate.
