Description5-Methoxy-3-methyl-3a-(prop-2-en-1-yl)-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-octahydro-1-benzofuran-6,7a-diol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as benzofurans. These are organic compounds containing a benzene ring fused to a furan. Furan is a five-membered aromatic ring with four carbon atoms and one oxygen atom. 5-methoxy-3-methyl-3a-(prop-2-en-1-yl)-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-hexahydro-1-benzofuran-6,7a-diol is found in Endlicheria dysodantha. 5-Methoxy-3-methyl-3a-(prop-2-en-1-yl)-2-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-octahydro-1-benzofuran-6,7a-diol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
