Description(2S,3R,4S)-2,3,4,5-tetrahydroxypentyl (2E,4S,5R,6E,8S,9R,10E,12S,13S,14S,16S,18S)-13-{[(2R,3S,4S,5S,6R)-6-[(acetyloxy)methyl]-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]oxy}-5,9-dihydroxy-2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18-nonamethylicosa-2,6,10-trienoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sesterterpenoids. These are terpenes composed of five consecutive isoprene units. (2s,3r,4s)-2,3,4,5-tetrahydroxypentyl (2e,4s,5r,6e,8s,9r,10e,12s,13s,14s,16s,18s)-13-{[(2r,3s,4s,5s,6r)-6-[(acetyloxy)methyl]-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]oxy}-5,9-dihydroxy-2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18-nonamethylicosa-2,6,10-trienoate is found in Clonostachys rosea. It was first documented in 2022 (PMID: 36075691).
