Description7-Hydroxy-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2H-chromen-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as neoflavones. These are neoflavonoids with a structure based on the 4-phenylcoumarin skeleton. 7-hydroxy-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)chromen-2-one is found in Calophyllum polyanthum. 7-Hydroxy-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2H-chromen-2-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
