Description(2R)-2-(7-hydroxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-3-yl)-3,3-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propanoic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diphenylmethanes. Diphenylmethanes are compounds containing a diphenylmethane moiety, which consists of a methane wherein two hydrogen atoms are replaced by two phenyl groups. (2r)-2-(7-hydroxy-4-oxochromen-3-yl)-3,3-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propanoic acid is found in Lophira alata. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2R)-2-(7-hydroxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-3-yl)-3,3-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propanoic acid.
