| Description | Schinol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. (1r,3as,3br,4s,5ar,9as,9bs,11ar)-4,7-dihydroxy-3a,6,6,9a,11a-pentamethyl-1-[(2r,5e)-5-methylhept-5-en-2-yl]-dodecahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthren-10-one is found in Amphipterygium adstringens. (1r,3as,3br,4s,5ar,9as,9bs,11ar)-4,7-dihydroxy-3a,6,6,9a,11a-pentamethyl-1-[(2r,5e)-5-methylhept-5-en-2-yl]-dodecahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthren-10-one was first documented in 2010 (PMID: 20939907). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Schinol (PMID: 33818669) (PMID: 28669243). |
