Description5,3'-Dihydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxyflavanone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 7-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C7 atom of the flavonoid backbone. (2r)-5-hydroxy-2-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)-7-methoxy-2,3-dihydro-1-benzopyran-4-one is found in Salvia miltiorrhiza. (2r)-5-hydroxy-2-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)-7-methoxy-2,3-dihydro-1-benzopyran-4-one was first documented in 2004 (PMID: 15202555). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5,3'-dihydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxyflavanone (PMID: 17873840).
