Description2-Amino-4-methylpentanoyl pyrrolidine-2-carboxylate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as leucine and derivatives. Leucine and derivatives are compounds containing leucine or a derivative thereof resulting from reaction of leucine at the amino group or the carboxy group, or from the replacement of any hydrogen of glycine by a heteroatom. 2-amino-4-methylpentanoyl pyrrolidine-2-carboxylate is found in Pyricularia oryzae. 2-Amino-4-methylpentanoyl pyrrolidine-2-carboxylate is a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa).
