These are 3-hydroxylated C19 steroid hormones. They are known to favor the development of masculine characteristics. They also show profound effects on scalp and body hair in humans. (1s,3as,3br,5as,9as,9bs,11as)-1-hydroxy-1-[(2r,3r,6r)-2-hydroxy-6-isopropyloxan-3-yl]-9a,11a-dimethyl-dodecahydro-2h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-7-one is found in Euplexaura anastomosans. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,2S,7S,10R,11S,14S,15S)-14-hydroxy-14-[(2R,3R,6R)-2-hydroxy-6-(propan-2-yl)oxan-3-yl]-2,15-dimethyltetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadecan-5-one. |
